In 2007, coaches Lefty Elliott and Carroll Hess proposed an Athletics Hall of Fame to Athletic Director Derek Maki (AD 2001–2014). A committee formed, and the first class was enshrined that year. More than 150 members had been enshrined through 2022 — 177 in total through the Class of 2026. There was no Class of 2020.
Also in the Hall: Timothy Kotroco (Class of 2016, Kenwood ’79, Baseball) — CCBC Essex pitcher (11–4), Campbell University (14–4), and Maryland State Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame inductee (2012).
